What the Program Is
|
Hood to Holy House provides a structured and supportive environment where young men can stabilize their lives and begin building a new direction.
The program focuses on helping residents develop practical life skills, rebuild confidence, connect with employment opportunities, and transition into stable housing through coordinated housing systems and community partnerships. Our goal is to serve as a bridge between homelessness and long-term housing stability. |

Residents remain in the program while working toward stability and placement into permanent housing through coordinated housing systems. While timelines can vary depending on housing availability, many residents stay between three and nine months as they move through the housing placement process.
During this time, residents participate in mentorship, life skills development, workforce preparation, and other supports designed to help them transition successfully into stable housing.
(Note: Stay can be longer depending on the HMIS system)

MOVING TOWARD STABLE HOUSINGThrough partnerships with housing systems and the City of San Antonio, many residents transition from the shelter into permanent housing programs where rental assistance may be provided.
Our program serves as the bridge between homelessness and long-term housing stability, helping young men move from crisis toward a safer and more stable future. |
